TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the part that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.
